Laws of Leadership (Part 2)

1⃣A The Head of an Organization Must First Be Loyal To His Subordinates --------------💞----------------💞-------------- It is difficult and sometimes impossible to work under certain kinds of leadership. If you are a junior in a church or business and have a head who is uncaring, you will have a hard time. I would advise you to find the environment and leader under who you can flourish. Move away peacefully and do not say bad things on your way out. Close every door gently. You may need to come back through that door one day Source: Leaders and Loyalty By Bishop Dag Heward-Mills. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖               - Amesiamina♡               (03/06/2017) ╚════                                ════╝

Laws of Leadership

1⃣   The head of an organization must first be loyal to his subordinates. Everything, good or bad, flows down from the top. Heads of organizations often want their subordinates to appreciate and honour them. However, this appreciation and honour must begin from the head downwards. Loyalty is like _the precious ointment UPON THE HEAD, that RAN DOWN upon the beard, even Aaron's beard, that WENT DOWN to the skirts of his garments._ (PS 133:2) It is the duty of the head of an organization (church or business) to make everyone feel important and appreciated. This is one of the most important ways to be loyal to the people who work for you. Hold On To God

The king was sick. He was 39 years old, he was rich and powerful, and he not yet had the son he desired so much. Yes, he was a good man but yes, he was going to die. He knew he would die because God said so. God had specifically sent a message asking him to get his house in order because he was going die. And as he looked before and behind him, at the life he had lived, the dreams he had dreamed, the children he thought he would have, thirty-nine years seemed too short. As he remembered his service and love for God and the greatness of God's mercy, King Hezekiah refused to give up. He went on his knees and prayed to God. God had passed his sentence and only God could revoke that sentence. He prayed, knowing that although he had done his best to serve God, ultimately, his life depended on God's mercy and only God could change things for him. And God heard him. And God answered. And God sent back the prophet Isaiah And God healed him. And God added fifteen more y...

ANAS IS WATCHING !!!

A week ago, on my way home, I noticed some graffiti on a wall at Kanda. On a portion of the wall, someone had written in red paint, “ANAS IS WATCHING! DO THE RIGHT THING.” On both sides of the writing were drawings of what Ghanaians have come to associate with Anas – a face in a mask. As I observed this, I had to laugh because I realized Anas has become kind of God. There is no doubt that Anas Aremeyaw Anas, a well-known – yet unknown and mysterious undercover journalist has done a lot to uncover the rot and corruption in the Ghanaian society. The bribery scandal in the judiciary in particular generated lots of interest, talk, controversy and even fear in Ghana. Many public servants fear Anas more than they fear God. For them, the worst thing that happen is to be caught on Anas’ camera.  But while it is all very well to not want to be caught doing evil, most of us seem to be missing the point. We seem to have forgotten that someone bigger than Anas watches over us...

Are You Married Before You're Married

Are You Married Before You Are Married? ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ There is also a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world—how she may please her husband. *[[1Corinthians 7:34]] WEB* This is what the Bible says.  You might be unmarried right now but is there someone who you mostly do things to please? Do you wear the clothes you wear to please that person or mostly to look good for that person? Do you constantly buy things you know the person would like, do things that will make the person happy or go to places because you know it would please that person? Do you find yourself, making the choices you make, even inconveniencing yourself just to please that person? Do you find yourself constantly thinking about how to please that person, even more than you think about making God happy? Do you think about the person m...

Who Will Bell the Cat?

Some mice had a huge dilemma that caused them to hold a meeting. The agenda? A cat who constantly threatened their lives. At the meeting, the mice recited a long list of grievances. They resolved to put a bell around the cat's neck so that they could hear when he approached. They all rejoiced until a little mouse raised his hand and asked- "but who will bell the cat?"  A hush fell and till now, no one has belled the cat. Who will bell the cats in our lives? For a long time, humanity faced such a problem- the problem of sin and death. The Law pointed out the problem and said, "this is what you have to do to become righteous". But just as the mice could not bell the cat, the law didn't give man the ability to become righteous. For the law made nothing perfect. On the other hand a better hope is introduced, through which we draw near to God. Hebrews 7:19(NET) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God send...

That Dirty Rag

Would you pick your one cedi note if it fell into a gutter? Probably not.  Even if it was your last cedi? Most likely, you’d look at the gutter and the things floating in it, wrinkle your nose in disgust at the smell and let it go…even of it means you have to walk home. After all, even if you remove it, there’s nothing you can do to make it better. Surely, you might reconsider if it was your phone, purse or wallet, but not that that dirty rag. That dirty rag which was once a clean white handkerchief. That dirty rag which in its lifetime had been used to wipe sweat, water, dirt, blood, your shoes and other things until it could no longer be recognized as a handkerchief. That once-white handkerchief which had turned some unidentifiable colour which you kept at the side of your bag for wiping your shoes. Who would bend down to pick that not-too-valuable rag that had fallen into the disgusting, smelly gutter? Only Jesus would. Only Jesus would do something that people ...
